Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has reacted to Dancehall artiste Samini’s rants about his reluctance to collaborate with him to make more music.
According to Sarkodie, he has no control over the Dancehall artiste’s feels and can only feel for about that, even though he disagrees with it.
“Him feeling like that, I don’t have any control over that. I can only say sorry about how he feels. Not necessarily because I agree with everything he is saying,” he said.
The rapper added that he is sometimes dubious in responding to collaborations because it takes more than good music to get him interested.
Not because the music is not good, you can hear a song that is so good but maybe you don’t hear yourself and then you’re trying to find a pocket in the song and then one day you do it. There are some songs when they sent it to you, it’s like two seconds. Maybe probably, if I send you a song and you loved it in the moment, you did it. I didn’t figure it out and I’m not talking about him, it could happen,” he added.
Sarkodie featured Samini on the 2014 smash hit ‘Love Rocks’.
The last time Samini had Sarkodie on a song was on 2018’s ‘My Own Remix’ and that was after the original piece, a Samini solo from 2017, had gained megahit status.
