Sika Anoa’i, Father of 4-time WWE Champion Roman Reigns has passed on.
WWE confirmed the death of the 79-year-old on their social media platforms on Tuesday, June 25,2024.
Jahrus, nephew of Sika Anoa’i, took to Instagram to announce the tragic news and pay tribute to his uncle’s life, marked by remarkable achievements and a profound impact on all those who knew him.
It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of Former Hall of Famer, Polaivao Leati Sika Anoa’i. He passed away peacefully on June 25th. Sika was a celebrated figure whose contributions and legacy have left an indelible mark. His memory will live on through his achievements and the many lives he touched.
As the wrestling world mourns the death of Sika Anoa’i, Jahrus also noted his life as a testament to the power of love, kindness, and inspiration.
He was many things: a hard working father, a caring brother, a supportive uncle, and a proud grandfather. He was a cherished friend to many, a loving family member whose warmth and kindness knew no bounds, and an inspiration to countless individuals. Sika Anoa’i was a retired American Samoan professional wrestler who gained fame as part of the iconic tag team The Wild Samoans alongside his brother Afa.
His impressive career highlights include winning the WWF World Tag Team Championship. He also received the honour of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 and Professional Wrestling Hall of fame in 2012.
However, Roman Reigns is yet to publicly comment on the passing of his father. Fans and colleagues alike are awaiting a statement from the WWE Superstar, who has often spoken about the significant influence his father had on his career and life.
