The Director of the University of Ghana’s Academic Affairs Directorate, Mrs. Lydia Anowa Nyako-Danquah, has confirmed the release date of the first batch of admissions for the 2024/2025 academic year.
In an exclusive interview on Campus Exclusive, she revealed that the University has received applicants’ results from West African Examination Council (WAEC) and is diligently cross-checking them. Earlier on January 3, 2024, the University closed the portal for the application of admission.
She revealed that the first batch of admissions for the 2024/25 academic year will be released between Friday January 10, and Wednesday, January 15, 2025. According to her, vigorous efforts are underway to ensure accuracy before the release.
“We have some processes to complete, but fingers crossed, the first batch of admissions will be out between Friday, January 10, and Wednesday, January 15, 2025.”
Mrs. Nyako-Danquah also addressed applicants who may not initially gain admission despite meeting the requirements. She explained that there will be an option for such candidates to self-place into available programs.
“These applicants can return to the application portal to access the self-placement system, which allows them to select outstanding programs they qualify for.”
Admitted students are encouraged to confirm their admission by making an initial payment of at least 50% of the fees. Freshers are expected to report to campus by mid-January.
