University of Ghana gives ultimatum to 2021/2022 graduates to collect certificates

University of Ghana has called on 2021/2022 alumni who have not yet collected their academic certificates to do so, on or before Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
In a communique released by the Academic Affairs Directorate of the university on 23rd January, 2023, it said the collection of  academic certificates can be done from Room D8, Academic Affairs Directorate in University of Ghana, Legon Campus.

A grace period ending 28th February 2023 has been granted to enable all University of Ghana alumni who have not yet collected their Academic Certificates to do so from Room D8, Academic Affairs Directorate.

The communique further added that  every year’s cohort of graduated students will be given up to six months, from the date of their congregation ceremony to collect their certificates.

Following 28th February 2023, every year’s cohort of graduated students will be given up to exactly six (6) months following the date of their congregation ceremony to collect their Certificates.

Management noted that graduated students who do not collect their academic certificate within the stipulated six months will pay a penalty.

Defaulters will be required to pay a penalty equivalent to the prevailing University of Ghana graduation fee in addition, for collection.

The Academic Affairs Directorate urged graduates to alternatively pick up their certificates from their respective schools, personally, within two weeks after their congregation ceremony, or subsequently visit the Students Services and Records Unit, Room D8, Academic Affairs Directorate.

As usual, certificates can be picked up from the respective Schools within two weeks after the congregation ceremony, following which collection can be undertaken from the Students Services and Records Unit in Room D8 of the Academic Affairs Directorate. This should be done in person.
