Osman Bukari wins 2023/24 Serbian league with Red Star Belgrade

Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari secured the 2023/24 Serbian League title with Red Star Belgrade, as they triumphed over Backa Topola with a 2-1 victory on Thursday.

Red Star, also known as Crvena Zvezda, stands as Southeast Europe’s most successful club, having claimed both the European Cup and Intercontinental Cup titles.

Osman Bukari contributed immensely to his club’s success this season after he scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 27 matches in the ongoing campaign, en-route to domestic glory.

With just four games remaining to end the season, Red Star Belgrade currently sits on top of the Serbian Super Liga table with 84 points from 33 matches. The team has scored 82 goals and conceded 25 goals thus far.

Red Star has also cemented their spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League competition, together with Partizan Belgrade,  who also clinched an automatic qualification spot after coming second in the league this season with four games to spare.

Red Star Belgrade’s dominance in the Serbian Super Liga continues, as they clinched their 7th consecutive title in the 2024 season, solidifying their status as the most successful team in the league’s history with a record extending 10th league crown.

Osman joined the Serbian club in 2022 and has since proved to be an important player for the team. The Ghanaian has attracted interest from various European clubs but is yet to decide his future.
