Davido’s Son’s Death: Chef and nanny play ‘blame game’

Ifeanyi’s nanny and the chef at Davido’s Banana Island residence have not taken full responsibility for the death of the 3-year-old Ifeanyi Adeleke.

According to  Nigeria’s Linda Ikeji, the nanny was with Ifeanyi when the chef came,  the nanny walked a little bit away from them to answer a phone. Ifeanyi wasn’t there when she got back, so she figured he was with the Chef. The Chef, however, claimed that he had left Ifeanyi with her. After spending nearly 20 minutes frantically scouring the entire property for him, a security guard later discovered Ifeanyi in the pool.

A spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin says eight of  Davido’s domestic staff members were taken in for interrogation about the drowning of Ifeanyi Adekele, according to Benjamin Hundeyin,

They were brought in questioning, not arrest. Anybody found not culpable will be released immediately. While those found culpable will remain with us to further our investigation. , he said.

Davido and Chioma returned from their vacation to the death of their son.
The body of Little Ifeanyi has been taken to the mortuary.
Friends, family, and colleagues of the singer are not permitted to visit Davido at his father’s house, where he and Chioma are privately grieving their son.

Multiple reports on Monday said that Ifeanyi drowned in a pool at Davido’s house in Banana Island, Lagos State.

The youngster was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital after the incident..

Nigerian entertainers have sent condolences to Davido and Chioma Rowland over the death of their son.

Singer Paul Play Dairo said: “I’m really lost for words. This is really painful. Take heart, David.”

Actor Williams Uchemba wrote on Instagram:

I said I won’t believe anything on social media until I personally confirm myself. I prayed for it to be a lie. I am upset, pained and confused. Nobody deserves to feel this pain.

“Please say a prayer for David, Chioma and the entire family. Nobody deserves this kind of pain. Rest up little one.

Nigerian actor Muyiwa Ademola wrote:

It is one of the saddest thing when kids are being buried by parents. We really wish it never happened! May The Almighty gives the parents and the entire Adeleke family the strength to bear this loss.

Actress Iyabo Ojo, said:

I don’t even know how to react to this rude shock. I was hoping it wasn’t true. My God!!! This is so shocking, sad, devastating and extremely painful Olorun!!! Ikun le abiamo.

Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, is considered one of Africa’s biggest music stars. He has won MTV and BET music awards and has collaborated with international artists including Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj.

During a trip to London last month, he and Chioma Rowland announced they would be getting married next year.

The singer has three other children with other partners.

In 2018, the one-year-old son of Nigerian singer D’Banj drowned in a pool in what seem like similar circumstances.
