University of Ghana students, Emmanuel Mensah (Manuel Factor) and Justice Mbawin Abugri have officially declared their candidacy for the 2024 SRC Presidency, submitting their nominations for the University of Ghana Students Representative Council (UGSRC) President and Vice President positions respectively.
Speaking to Univers News, Manuel Factor expressed his anticipation for a successful outcome following the nominations, all within peaceful settings.
“I am seeing the tension coming. It’s elections, so I’m hoping that things are going to be smooth, there’s not going to be any disqualification among any of the aspirants. We will all run successfully and end the journey peacefully.”
Manuel Factor also shared his expectations, expressing his reliance on the support of the students for victory, a goal that he and all his other opponents would fight for.
“I’m expecting students, that on the day of voting, they will vote for us. I don’t think any of the aspirants will be expecting the opponent to win. So my expectation is to win this election.”
As the UG elections begin, anticipation mounts among aspirants, eager to see what lies ahead. Interested students have filed and submitted their nominations, now waiting on the Electoral Commission’s next move to determine their stands in the 2024 elections.
