Kotoko’s assistant coach David Ocloo has called for calmness from the supporters of the club, as he insists the technical team will turn around the recent slump in performances.

Asante Kotoko lost their 10th league game of the season after conceding a late stoppage time goal to Nsoatreman’s Mohammedd Abdul Rahman, ending the game with a narrow 2-1 defeat at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday night.

Despite Ocloo’s optimism in overriding the torrential storms for the Porcupine Warriors, the club has picked up 2 wins in their last 10 league games, which leaves the Kumasi based side in 10th place on the league log.

It’s a work in progress, so there’s no pressure on us. We’ll just go back and work hard and try to turn things around. It happens, they should just beat with us and keep supporting us. We take it in good faith, but we are still working. We’ll turn things around, he said

Asante Kotoko are yet to pick up maximum points in the league since doing so on March 1, 2024 against Bibiani Gold Stars.

Kotoko could extend their unwanted winless record in their last 6 games, with a trip to Dreams Fc forthcoming, before facing title-chasing Sarmatex, and ultimately wrapping it up with defending champions Medeama Sc.
