Security analyst, Adam Bonnah has expressed his disgust in a recent rival music video unveiled by American hip-hop artist Meek Mill at the Jubliee house. Meek and his crew were seen in a video at the Jubilee House rapping and dancing to explicit lyrics in front of the President’s lectern mostly used during National Address. His visit to the Presidency came after he performed at the Afronation Concert on December 29th, 2022. The post has received several backlashes on social media by Ghanaians following its release on January 8,2022.
Speaking to Univers News, Adam Bonnah, indicated how exhibiting such acts at the Jubilee House projects negatively on the country’s security.
It is actually beyond desecration of what we should all respect. So, to have him actually take still images and motion or moving videos using something that looks like drones, that is despicable. If you ask me and these people look at them, they were dressed in rags if you ask me. We have lowered the seat of the president so low. It tells us we are not a serious country; that is the description we have projected out there.
Jubilee House is the office and residence of the president of Ghana. The British Gold Coast Government built and utilized an administrative facility on the site where Jubilee House now stands.President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo changed its name to Golden Jubilee House. Previously, it was referred to as The Flagstaff House. Ghanaians have been outraged by this video on social media, particularly Twitter, for the past 17 hours. The video’s preview included shots of the Jubilee House and, most prominently, the President Akufo-Addo’s podium, which he uses to address the nation.
