According to the poll, Guru NKZ secured only 2,486 votes, representing a mere 34.8% of the 7,149 total votes cast. This places him significantly behind Manuel Life, who, alongside his running mate Lawrence Edinam Egleh, garnered a commanding 62.5% of the votes, amounting to 4,470 votes.
The difference suggests that despite Guru NKZ’s prominence and popularity in the entertainment world, his influence may not translate into political success among the student electorate.
The poll results have left many surprised, painting a challenging picture for Guru NKZ in the days leading up to the final election. While his fame has drawn attention to the race, it appears that students are leaning heavily toward Manuel Life, who is now widely expected to clinch the presidency.
Other candidates in the race, including Noah Nii Afotey Odai and Abigail Obenewa Adai, and Blessing Mantey and Martin Agbefia, received a meager 1.7% (124 votes) and 0.3% (20 votes) of the votes, respectively, further solidifying the two-horse race between Guru NKZ and Manuel Life.
With the final poll set to be conducted 48 hours before the main elections, the race remains dynamic. However, the odds are currently stacked against Guru NKZ, raising questions about whether his fame alone can carry him to victory in the political arena.
