Leader of United Denominations from the Lighthouse Group of churches, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has described the death as an appointment that one cannot cancel or ignore.
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills said this at a remembrance service held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, in remembrance of departed members of the University community at the University of Ghana Great Hall.
Delivering the Sermon, Bishop Dag said the fleeting nature of time should give mankind ample time to get ready for their death appointment.
Death is an appointment We all have an appointment with death, You do this, you do that, and you will die. That is why the Queen is dead, that is why Michael Jackson is dead, that is why the former vice-chancellors are dead, that is why the vice-chancellors are dead, that is why the former president is dead because no matter who you are, and what you have, , it is appointed unto man to die, So all human beings has this experience that we have to go through.
No matter who you are, no matter what you have and no matter you have achieved
He also called on Christians to build a strong relationship with God in order to stand right with him.
You Need to come to God, you need to find Jesus Christ. Since, I gave my life to Jesus my life as changed, it is not about religion. It is about real relationships, that has clearly generally affected my life. So lets build those relationships with God.

We thank God so much for this opportunity, and we are grateful to the university authority for organizing this remembrance service, we want to thank you so much university community the chaplaincy, and everyone who has contributed to making this day, a fantastic and a memorable one .
We are leaving here as learned people consoled by the word of God, such as; when we have Jesus Christ who is the resurrection and the life we have hope that after death shall be at the right place
The University of Ghana sets two days in November each year in remembrance of departed members of the University community.
The two days are the first Thursday in November for the Christian service formally held on the first Sunday of November and the first Friday of November for Muslim Prayers.
From 2010, this has been done to provide opportunity for all members of the University community to remember their colleagues who departed this world during the academic year since members are unable to attend the funerals of all departed colleagues during the academic schedule of the University.

Hi there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
