University of Ghana commissions 75th anniversary celebration secretariat

Management of University of Ghana has commissioned UGIS75 anniversary secretariat to aid the anniversary planning committee in coordinating programs, activities, and administrative processes for the 75th anniversary celebration of University of Ghana.
The secretariat, located in the University of Ghana Alumni Building, consists of a fully furnished office space, a waiting lounge, and a conference room, which was put together by Grace-filled Ventures, a full service interior design and furnishing company.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo revealed that the secretariat is planning a Legacy Project that will give students of the university a memorable experience.


The 75th anniversary will be acclaimed as the most impactful through a legacy project centred on giving students, one of our most valued stakeholders, a memorable experience.


She further called for the support of corporate bodies and individuals to support the university’s quest in making the anniversary celebration an experience of a lifetime.

Ghana’s premier university, University of Ghana was established in 1948. The university launched its 75th anniversary celebration in August this year on the theme, “Nurturing Resilience, Adopting Technology, Embracing Humanism.

The year-long anniversary is aimed at celebrating the University’s achievements and perseverance through years of
unprecedented change.  The theme is born from the vision of the Vice-Chancellor, takes its direction from the University’s vision, and from the multiple and rapid changes occurring in Africa and our global world today, especially in higher education.
