UGFL: GFA claim first win as Armed Forces club tops Group A

Matchday action in the University of Ghana Corporate Football League brought plenty of drama and final twists to the Group A standings.

Ghana Football Association (GFA) secured their first win of the campaign, defeating College of Basic and Applied Sciences (CBAS) 3-1 in a determined performance that finally saw them rewarded for their efforts throughout the group stage.

Telecel Ghana continued their strong form, comfortably seeing off College Of Education (COE) 3-0. Despite picking up some points earlier in the league phase, COE finished bottom of Group A, unable to climb off the foot of the table.

College of Humanities at (COH) put on a show of attacking power, dispatching College Of Health Sciences (CHS) 4-1 in one of the most one-sided performances of the round.

The headline result came as Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club (GAFOSC) beat Union Ghana 2-0 in a decisive top-of-the-table clash. The win not only ended Union’s unbeaten run but also ensured that GAFOSC finished as leaders of Group A, capping off a well-fought league phase with a statement performance.
