Some commuters of  public transport have described the decision by drivers in the Greater Accra region  to review their prices anytime there is an increment in fuel prices as unfair.

These drivers had emphasized that they will not wait on the Ghana Private Road Transport Union to have an engagement with the government on the upward percentage adjustment.

However, some citizens  have bemoaned the price increment while calling on the drivers to reduce the fares.

Kojo one of these commuters, said they were shocked at the price increment within a short period.

When I took a car to come to work from Tema station yesterday , the fare was GH¢ 4 but when leaving for home, the fare was GH¢ 5.10p. This morning, it was GH¢6.50p.

Another passenger advised drivers to embark on an industrial action to press home their demands.

They have to go on a strike to prove their point to government. My uncle goes to work and earns GH¢400 which he has to buy fuel, pay the car owner and his mate out of the money
