The Pro-Vice-Chancellor in Charge of Academic and Students Affairs at the University of Ghana, Prof. Gordon Awandare, has commended the management of the Akuafo Hall for their consistency in maintaining discipline in the hall.

Speaking at  Akuafo Hall’s yearly Christmas event; Christmas Around the fountain, Prof. Awandare said the hall has become the epitome of good management and high discipline and urged other halls to do the same.

I want to express my appreciation from the university’s management to the hall for how this hall has been managed and the way you have set a good example for the other halls in terms of good management, and high discipline. The management team up there is very proud of you.

He also applauded the hall management for initiating projects that will help the hall develop and make the University also flourish.

We know very much that you took the lead in initiating projects and helping the University to develop and I know that this hall, your hall authorities have led several projects on their own, raised funds to do a lot of things for your hall and that is something that we want to encourage across the University.

The University of Ghana Akuafo Hall on Wednesday, December 14 2022 organized its yearly Christmas program; Christmas Around the fountain.
It was a festival of nine lessons and carols and an appreciation night for staff and workers of the Hall.

Mr. Eric Asare, Naa Sakley Asare, Isaac Ofei Badu, and a few others were the workers and staff members who were awarded at the event. They took home cash prizes ranging from GHC 200 and GHC 1,000.

The event was graced with performances from Aldesgate choir of the Ghana Methodist Students Union, the Akuafo Hall Senior Staff Choir, and the Children of Akuafo among others.

The Hall looks forward to 2023 with the hope of doing more than they’ve done the previous year.
