The National Theatre held its Annual Conference of the Performing Arts on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, with the theme “We Have Value: Building Bridges to Success.”
The event brought together important figures in the creative arts industry to discuss how to grow Ghana’s creative sector.
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku Mantey, gave the key note address and stressed the need for investment in creative infrastructure and stronger protections for intellectual property rights.
Notable attendees included actor Adjetey Anang, poet Apiorkor Seyram, and NTG Board Chair Nana Fredua Agyemang Ofori Atta.
During the conference, it was announced that a “Night of Gratitude” would take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, celebrating the contributions of those in the creative arts community.
