Fatawu Issahaku bags Hat-trick in Leicester City’s 5-0 thumping of Southampton

Ghana’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku netted three goals, leading his team Leicester City to victory against rivals Southampton in the English Championship Matchday 38.

The 20-year-old, currently on loan from Sporting Lisbon, has delivered remarkable performances since joining Leicester City this season.

He opened the scoring in the 25th minute, receiving a pass from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner of the net, giving the home team a 1-0 lead in the first half.

In the 75th minute, the Ghanaian found the net once more with a powerful strike from outside the penalty area, marking his second goal of the match and the third for the Foxes. Just four minutes later, the former Dreams FC player provided an assist to teammate Jamie Vardy, who secured the home team’s fourth goal.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku completed his hat-trick in the 81st minute, capitalizing on a precise assist from Jamie Vardy. This goal marked his seventh for Leicester City in his debut season with the club.

Leicester City is on the brink of clinching automatic qualification for the English Premier League next season, needing just one more victory to secure their spot. With an impressive 94 points from 44 games this season, the Foxes are in a strong position.
