EPL: Salah makes history after scoring brace against Manchester United

Liverpool attacker Mohammed Salah who scored his 128th goal for the team to become all time top  scorer in the premier league said it was a dream come true to attain such a historic feat.

The Egyptian scored brace to aid Liverpool demolish their arch rival Manchester United by seven goals to zero at Anfield.

The win boosts their chances of finishing in the top four and qualifying for  the champions league after suffering sudden defeats this season.

Mohammed Salah shared his sentiments with the media after scoring his 128th goal to make history at Anfield.

“Is very special to win a game like that with this result we are going into the next game with over confidence that is why we need to stay humble and just play and win the game because this is not where we wanted to be from the onset of the season but hopefully the results gives us good posture and that will help us keep going” Salah said.

The Egyptian star added he had been pondering over breaking the record since he joined the club and noted that breaking the record was a dream come true.

“It is very special I cant lie this record was in my mind since I came here I think after my first season I was chasing it and so making it today with that result against United is unbelievable so I am going home to celebrate with my family”

Mohammed Salah who has had an underwhelming season after scoring eleven goals and making seven assists in twenty five appearances for Liverpool will be looking forward to returning to his best following a poor start to the season.

Liverpool  are lying fifth on the league table with 42 points just three points separating them from fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur who have accumulated 45 points in the premier league.
