In attendance at the event were personalities such as Belgium-based footballer, David Atanga, comedian, Worris, as well as Joshua of the Keche fame.

The Ludogorets forward came up with the initiative through the Bernard Tekpetey Foundation, which has overseen many projects in recent years as part of his desire to give back to his country, as his mission as a CEO is to reach out to the vulnerable in society and to be a leader in social intervention for the poor and the needy around the globe.

The player, explaining the motivation behind the exercise said:

“We face numerous challenges when it comes to blood. Previously, we had a significant issue. I realized there was a shortage of blood, which led to the loss of life. This prompted me to discuss the matter with the CEO of the National Blood Service, and we agreed to organize an event like this to support people, save lives, and make a meaningful impact on human lives.”

The CEO of the Evelyn Arthur Foundation, Evelyn Arthur, who was in attendance to grace the occasion explained the parameters involved in blood donation.

“Basically, every individual can donate blood between a three-month interval. When you donate the first one today, three months later we assume you might have eaten well to replenish the lost nutrient,

So by three months, you should be able to donate another blood. We need a lot of blood that we encourage that as short as three months, everyone should be able to come back to donate, she added.

Bernard Tekpetey foundation is a non-profit making organization that was formed in the year 2016, but was officially incorporated in 2018. Since its formation, BT Foundation has helped a lot of needy people in various communities and orphanage homes to put a beautiful smile on their faces.
