‎The University of Ghana concluded its two-day congregation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with a total of 615 students graduating across various disciplines.

Degrees were conferred in Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science in Administration, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and Bachelor of Arts. Graduates who attained first-class honours and those who demonstrated exceptional academic performance were recognized with medals, in line with the university’s commitment to academic excellence.

Speaking to Univers News, several graduates expressed a mix of gratitude, relief, and reflection as they looked back on their academic journeys.

Barichi, a postgraduate LLB graduate from the School of Law, described the experience as demanding but fulfilling. “It’s been a long journey—combining work, family, and school hasn’t been easy. Doing another bachelor’s degree for three years, plus two more, was a serious challenge. But praise be to God, we are here today.”

Manuela, a graduate from the College of Humanities, noted the perseverance required to succeed. “My journey has been tough but exciting. I encourage everyone out there to give their best. It’s worth it, especially if you’re from the Business School. Sometimes you have to resit exams just to keep your grades up.”

Spencer, who served as president of the University of Ghana School of Law, graduated with first-class honours. He described the moment as a personal triumph. “It’s a joyful moment for me. It’s proof that hard work and the God factor truly pay off. With God, all your dreams are valid.”

Another graduate, Adu, also completed his LLB and shared his appreciation for the journey. “The journey has been challenging and interesting. But thank God, we’ve made it through and we’re excited to be part of the graduation ceremony.”

“It’s been tedious and very involving,” one graduate said. “But I’m elated, I’m happy. We waited four years for this. Even though the journey isn’t over, we’re proud to have crossed this milestone.”

As the applause fades and gowns are folded away, the memories forged of sleepless nights, small wins, and silent prayers will remain with the graduates long after the ceremony. While the next chapter may be uncertain, many have already proven the resilience needed to take it on.
