Parliament is set to begin the fifth meeting of the fourth session on October 15, 2024, at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.

The relocation is due to ongoing renovation work in the main parliamentary chamber, which typically hosts parliamentary sessions.

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, in a statement issued on Monday, September 30, 2024, notified Members of Parliament about the reconvening on October 15.

During a recent two-day emergency sitting at the Dome, Parliament approved a $250 million loan agreement from the World Bank to support Ghana’s Energy Sector Recovery Programme. The loan, initially rejected before the parliamentary recess, prompted the recall of Parliament on September 3.
