Osman Bukari, one of two players who missed out on yesterday’s Black Stars training session, has arrived at the team’s hotel today after completing his move from Red Star Belgrade to Austin Fc.

26 men were called up by head coach Otto Addo ahead of crunch ties against Mali and C.A.R for the Black Stars in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

However, Osman Bukari – who netted in the last World Cup against Portugal – was absent alongside Fenerbache’s Alexander Djiku.

For Bukari, he was finalising his paperwork with his new side Austin Fc in the states after making a €7m switch from the Serbian League, whereas Djiku is nursing a slight injury.

Osman Bukari was an integral member of the Red Star team that clinched the Serbian League, scoring 7 times and providing 6 assists en route to his second Serbian League triumph. The forward managed to secure the league and cup double in the just-ended season.

Ultimately, Bukari’s arrival makes the squad almost complete, with 25 players out of 26 available, leaving Djiku as the exception.

The Black Stars will continue their preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, with their second training scheduled to come off at the University of Ghana Stadium today.
