Head coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Stephen Sarkodie, has shared the team’s ambitions and preparation ahead of the Women’s Premier League final.

When asked about their readiness for the final on Sunday, May 18, Coach Sarkodie confidently stated that their opponents are well aware of Ampem Darkoa’s intention to win and advance to the WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, with the ultimate goal of reaching the CAF Women’s Champions League.

“We want to win this game, and the team we are playing against knows that we are going to win. By winning, we’ll qualify for the WAFU Zone B tournament, which will give us motivation, a morale boost, and also help promote women’s football in Ghana. We are planning to win that as well and secure qualification for the main tournament — the CAF Women’s Champions League. That’s our plan,” he said.

Ampem Darkoa finished the regular season with 37 points from 18 matches, securing the Northern Zone title and positioning themselves for yet another Premier League crown—provided they can overcome Police Ladies FC.
