Pius Enam Hadzide, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority(NYA), has disclosed that he has been instructed by Honorable Mustapha Ussif, the Sports Minister, to make sure that work at these youth resource center resumes with the necessary funds to be made available.
“The Minister’s instructions were that we should expedite action and ensure the prompt completion of five out of the six facilities. Along the line, the governing board added one,” Hadzide told the media.
“So, as we speak, six of the youth resource centers are very advanced. One having been commissioned is now in use. From today’s meeting, we are hopeful that in the coming days, work will resume on all of the other five.
With work due to resume at these project sites, the government hopes to commission five of the Multi-purpose Youth Resource Centres in the upcoming months.
According to the Sports minister, financial difficulties had caused construction to halt at more than five centers.
