Women’s UCL group stage draw: Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea discover opponents

The 24/25 UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage draw has been announced, and the 16 teams have been divided into four groups of four teams each.

Unlike the men’s edition of the tournament which has changed this season to a league-based format, the women’s while smaller is still split into the more traditional groups of four.

Here’s a summary of the women’s draw:

Group A includes Olympic Lyon, Wolfsburg, Roma, and Galatasaray.

Group B also has Chelsea, Real Madrid, Twente and Celtic.

Meanwhile Group C consists of Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Juventus, Valerenga.

Group D which is the last group will witness Barcelona, Manchester City, St. Polten and Hammarby locking horns against each other.

The group stage matches will take place from October 8 to December 18, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.

French giants, Olympic Lyon are the most successful side with eight titles, although Barcelona, who have won the tournament three times, are the defending champions.
