The venue for the University of Ghana Community Games has been changed from the University Rugby Stadium to the University of Ghana Stadium, contrary to previous announcements.
In an exclusive interview with Univers Sports, Mr. Geoffrey Adofo, a senior sports organizer at the University of Ghana’s Sports and Wellness
Directorate, revealed that the venue for the event has been changed, but confirmed that the scheduled time remains unchanged.
“We want to put on record on that the venue for the gala has been changed from the Rugby stadium to the main stadium (University of Ghana Stadium) but the time remains 10am through to 5pm. We are going to stay and stick to the time and ensure that everything is in order;security, health e.t.c.
The University Community Games which will take place on November 16,2024 is a new initiative designed to promote health, foster community spirit, and encourage personal growth among the university community.
The tournament will feature a thrilling competition among eight teams, including the College of Humanities, College of Health Sciences, College of Education, College of Basic & Applied Sciences, UG Central Administration, UG Alumni Association, the Union Ghana, and the University of Ghana Enterprises Ltd, as they face off against each other in a battle for supremacy.
