The United Nations Population Fund Ghana (UNFPA Ghana) and Prada Group’s groundbreaking partnership, “Fashion Expressions: The Stories She Wears,” has reached its grand finale with a dazzling fashion event.
This initiative combined Prada’s fashion leadership with UNFPA Ghana’s expertise in promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls.
Over the past months, a group of 30 talented young girls, supported by International Needs Ghana and Usher Hospital of Ghana Health Service, embarked on a transformative journey to use fashion as a tool for social change and empowerment.
Guided by industry leaders, 18 girls underwent a 6-month industrial attachment to sharpen their skills and bring their creative visions to life.
On Friday September 8, 2023, at the Accra World Trade Center, the graduands showcased their stunning and unique collection, reflecting their individuality and telling their inspiring stories.
This event celebrated months of dedication, creativity, and hard work and was an unforgettable experience filled with glamour, inspiration, and the introduction of the fashion industry’s rising stars.
