Members of the University of Ghana General Assembly have approved for the 2023 University of Ghana Students Representative Council (UGSRC) elections to be held online onsite.
The decision was made at the UGSRC General Meeting that was held on 2nd July, 2023 at the University of Ghana Law School Auditorium.
Presenting the Constitutional Instrument before members of the House, the Electoral Commission indicated that voters shall be required to present a valid identification before they would be allowed to vote.
These include their Student ID card, Admission letters, Provisional ID or electronic means of students.
The EC also revealed that to ensure a peaceful election, there will be security oersonnel and police officers to tackle any signs of violence that may ensue in the process.
The elections have also been estimated to take place on the 28th of July, 2023, followed by a run-off on 4th August, 2023.
