A severe water shortage at Volta Hall, University of Ghana, has reached a critical point, disrupting the daily lives and academic schedules of residents. The crisis, which has persisted for over a week, has forced students to scramble for water, with many missing classes or arriving late as a result.

In an exclusive interview with Univers News, some frustrated residents voiced their growing discontent.

“We are really suffering. I’ve been late to my classes because of this water crisis.”

“Going a long mile just to get water for washing petty things like dishes and utensils is very bad.The lack of access to water has turned basic tasks into exhausting chores, leaving students exasperated.”

The ongoing shortage has sparked outrage among Volta Hall residents, who say it’s taking a toll on their academic performance and well-being. With no immediate solution in sight, students are urging university authorities to take swift action to address the crisis and restore normalcy to the hall.
