The refurbished Night Market at the University of Ghana has been officially commissioned on 4th March, 2024 after two years since renovations on the site begun.
Officially commissioned by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, the renovation unveiled an impressive array of 80 shops, including 36 specialized food stalls and metallic vendors for fresh produce. Other key features of the renovated site included eleven units of two modern washrooms, and a spacious eating area, providing a dynamic and secure environment for vendors and customers alike.

With the installation of electrical sockets and meters underway and a commitment to complete the remaining tasks promptly, the project’s Manager, Mr. Michael Wolormey assured that the Night Market will continue to flourish as a hub of commerce and community engagement.

“We have enlarged the market, provided washrooms, and renovated the existing stalls. What we have seen today is by the grace of God and the kind support from our management team. We have been able to provide two washrooms and eighty shops and do some drainage and plumbing work to help take care of the flooding issues. And I am trusting God that now that the rains are about setting in, flooding issues would be a thing of the past and we shall have a good market,” Mr. Wolormey expressed hope.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with UniversNews, the Acting Director for the Physical Development Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD), Mr. Peter Abalansa disclosed that despite the undertaking of the project two years ago, the failure to materialize as plammed was due to the incompetence of previous contractors.
The institution’s new initiative offers a safe and vibrant atmosphere for vendors and customers to interact.

Thanks for the useful information on credit repair on this site. The things i would advice people should be to give up this mentality that they’ll buy at this point and pay later. Like a society most of us tend to make this happen for many issues. This includes holidays, furniture, along with items we wish. However, you need to separate your current wants out of the needs. While you’re working to raise your credit ranking score actually you need some trade-offs. For example you’ll be able to shop online to save cash or you can go to second hand shops instead of high priced department stores pertaining to clothing.
