And we heard from the Chancellor the very many projects that she’s seeking assistance for. And I know that the alumni association is going to take the lead in making sure that the development of [UG, which is so central, and the development of our country continues at pace.”

The President also expressed optimism in the University’s vision to continue to breed leaders for the country.

“I know that the names that are there, there are many, many more names that are coming in the future to be added because this is going to be the cradle and it will continue to be the cradle of Ghana’s development. That’s what we’re looking for. That we will have a university that will be at the very heart of developing the intellectual moral substance of our country. And this is the vision that the man who almost single-handed you is responsible for; the creation of this University by J.B Danquah. That was his vision, and that is the vision that we continue to live by.”
