The University of Ghana (UG) has been adjudged as the National Best University in Practical Agriculture for 2025.
The recognition, communicated in an official letter to the Vice-Chancellor by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, forms part of the activities marking the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebrations.
According to the Ministry, the award reflects the University’s strong commitment to practical agricultural training, research, and innovation in support of Ghana’s agricultural transformation agenda.
“This outstanding recognition reflects the University’s exemplary commitment to advancing practical agricultural training, innovation, and research in support of Ghana’s agricultural transformation agenda,” the statement said.
The University of Ghana has also been formally invited to participate in the National Farmers’ Day celebration, scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, in Ho in the Volta Region, where the institution will receive the national honour.
The Ministry further extended its highest consideration to the University and congratulated the institution on attaining this national recognition.
