Vice Presidential Candidate of the Volta Hall Junior Common Room Elections Princess Sesinam Afua Kodua has promised residents to solve the perennial water crisis of the hall.

Speaking during the Presidential Debate on Campus Exclusive, she promised to bring an end to the crises together with her other executives.

She went on to commend previous executive for attempting to solve the challenge.

“Together with the other JCR executive, we plan on tackling the very urgent, and most pressing needs of the Volta Hall Ladies. The first one is the water issue. We have water crises from time to time but the current JCR executive has been working on it.”

She outlined some measures she would adopt to bring finality to the water crises.

“So, I have three strategies in mind. The very first one is to go to Ghana Water Company to lobby with them and let them know how badly we are experiencing the water crisis issue. But as a backup, we all know that water flow is kind of unstable in Ghana, I plan to get some poly tanks all although we have some but not too many, especially at the annex because they bear the burden of the water crises all the time. So, we get some extra poly tanks nothing too much and nothing that will make the place too congested but will serve as a backup whenever we have water crises. We can also get some plumbers involve in order to engineer some sort of plumbing system that will run through the various halls.”

Princess Sessinam called on residents of Volta Hall to vote for her because of her unique qualities and policies.

“I have been a member of several student organizations and I have been able to interact with students and deal with them firsthand to know their problems. So, I believe with my verbal and written skills, a lot of patience, dedication, hard work, and feasible policies are reasons why they should vote for me.

Residents of the Volta Hall Junior Common Room are expected to go to the polls on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 from 8 am to 5 pm to elect new crop of executive. The election is expected to be held online with support from the University of Ghana Computing System (UGCS).

Eight candidates are contesting for the Presidential, Vice Presidential, General Secretary, Organizing Secretary and Electoral Commissioner positions.
