The Director of the Sports and Wellness Directorate of the University of Ghana, Dr. Austin Luguterah, has lauded Radio Univers and other media outlets for their tremendous support throughout the 19 weeks of the University of Ghana Corporate Football League.
Radio Univers, the campus-based radio station of the University of Ghana broadcasting on 105.7 FM, has played a vital role in promoting the corporate football league through live commentary and extensive coverage across radio, online platforms, and social media.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday July 24, 2025 ahead of the finals of the competition, the Sports Director acknowledged the presence of Radio Univers and other media outlets who have been with them from the beginning of the league.
“With the fact that we have media partners, we have our own radio universe all the time here, Metro TV, anytime, they were with us. Then we have all the other, the GTVs and the rest.” he said.
“The media houses in Ghana have been with us. They publicised us, they were here to watch us”, he added.
Dr. Luguterah also seized the platform to appreciate the efforts of the media partners who have brought them this far, expressing gratitude to every single person who has contributed to making the maiden edition a success.
The finals of the University of Ghana Corporate football league is set to take place on Thursday, July 25, 2025 at the University of Ghana Stadium with Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and Union Ghana to fight for the trophy.
The third and fourth place match will be between National Petroleum Authority and the Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club.
