The university urged the public to exercise caution when engaging with such platforms

The University of Ghana has cautioned the university community and the general public about a fake WhatsApp group falsely claiming affiliation with the School of Public Health.

‎The group, titled “UGSPH Entrance Exams Study Group 2025/26,” was created by unknown individuals with no connection to the university. It is reportedly linked to a mobile money number which the university stressed has not been authorized for any payments.

‎“The University wishes to state unequivocally that this group is FAKE and has no affiliation whatsoever with the University of Ghana or the University of Ghana School of Public Health”.

‎The university urged the public to exercise caution when engaging with such platforms, particularly those requesting payments or circulating unverified information. It emphasized that all official communication on admissions, examinations and related matters is shared only through its official channels.

‎“All official communication regarding admissions, examinations, and related matters will be published only through the University of Ghana’s official channels”.

The statement further noted that the University of Ghana will not be held liable for misinformation or inconvenience resulting from interaction with unauthorized groups.
