She reminded students that success would not happen by chance but through deliberate planning and clear decision-making, encouraging them to set strategic priorities and communicate their vision with confidence and purpose.

The Vice-Chancellor also highlighted the university’s growing global recognition, noting that the University of Ghana continues to maintain its position as a leading institution in West Africa.

She pointed to the university’s strong research performance, revealing that UG executed 133 research agreements valued at more than 41 million dollars within the past year.

According to her, these achievements increase the value and global competitiveness of the degrees being awarded.

Professor Amfo have a further update on key institutional initiatives, including the One Student, One Laptop programme and ongoing classroom modernisation projects.

She emphasised that these investments are designed to ensure graduates are not only academically prepared but also digitally competitive in an increasingly technology-driven business environment.

Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Joseph Boakye Yiadom encouraged graduates to act with intention and focus on building lasting impact.

“Your degree is not a mere achievement but an asset entrusted to you for use,” he said.

He acknowledged that although Ghana faces economic challenges, the country also possesses strong demographic and economic opportunities.

He therefore urged graduates to position themselves as innovators and problem-solvers capable of creating value within the economy, encouraging them to become architects of economic transformation and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The valedictory speech was delivered by Jeremiah Ndemeleh, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Administration (Accounting) and an outstanding Final Grade Point Average of 3.93.

Sharing his personal journey, he reflected on growing up in Kete Krachi and described his academic success as proof that perseverance and determination can overcome difficult beginnings.

He encouraged his fellow graduates to believe in their potential and pursue excellence regardless of their background or circumstances.

The ceremony celebrated the academic accomplishments of the 2025 graduating class while offering practical guidance and inspiration for life beyond the university.

Graduates left the Great Hall not only with degrees in hand but also with renewed purpose as they prepare to navigate an evolving economic and professional landscape.
