West Africa’s biggest beach festival, Tidal Rave festival happened over the weekend in Ghana on 4th November 2023, at La Palm Royale beach hotel.
Organized by management of Captain Morgan alcoholic beverage, a pre-tidal rave party was held the day before the festival. This pre-party saw scores of influencers and media personalities who were called upon to make publicity for the official Tidal Rave event.
Tidal Rave festival was a significant youth cultural moment, full of mind blowing activities such as games, an ignition good market by Absa bank, amazing display of fashion and arts. Whilst the above-mentioned activities were one for the books, the festival was headlined with an A-list music concert.
The festival kickstarted with some games including chess, video games, golf amongst others. There was also a display of Disk Jockeying prowess by some various DJs in the entertainment industry.
The festival officially started with the introduction and performances by amazing upcoming artistes such as Siicie, Office, amongst others.
The biggest beach festival was climaxed with performances from amazing artiste like KiDi, King Promise, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Samini, Lasmid, Joey B, R2Bees, La Meme Gang and Efya among others, with King Promise showing up at the event as the night’s surprise act.
The artistes delivered energetic performances which left the crowd with ecstasy; these were moments etched in their memory as beautiful and enthralling ones.
There were also amazing dance performances from Dance with a Purpose (DWP) academy, Incredible Zigi and his crew who displayed jaw dropping dance moves during the festival and served the audience an icing on the cake for the night’s events.
UniversNews had the opportunity to speak to some of the attendees of the event; their words exuded excitement and overall satisfaction with the event’s turnout and activities.
”I had very high expectations and guess what, those expectations were met to the fullest! Wow!! This is what we paid for. It was totally worth it. I’m sorry but those watching on the [television] are just missing out big time!!”

While many left the event satisfied and making the most of their nights, the festival was not free from faults, as performances from the various artistes were not properly timed.
Even Stonebwoy’s performances faced some issues with external disruptions, but that would not stop the crooner from giving the crowd an exciting musical experience.
Concurrently, there have been praises from various sources, applauding the team for improving the festival’s conditions in comparison to previous years’ complications; not only was the security situation improved, but access to venue was also facilitated.
The night’s experience has only left many craving for more, already in anticipation for the festival’s next edition.
