Some unknown persons have invaded the premises of the newly commissioned Aflao SHS and dismantled the transformer that connects the school to the national grid and bolted away with certain parts of the equipment.

The miscreants dug out the compound of the school and made away with the cables underground leaving the premises in absolute darkness.

The Headmaster of the school, Shadrack Abiuw narrating in a media interview revealed that,

the incident happened a little over 2 weeks ago and had since left the school in darkness and at the mercy of evil minded persons which has disturbed congenial teaching and learning activities on campus.

The Headmaster has appealed to the Ketu South Municipal Assembly and the Electricity Company of Ghana to take urgent steps to replace the transformer and restore light on campus to get back to normal school activities.

He indicated that since the school was commissioned over 2 years ago , no proper security setup has been provided to help the staff and students to go about their normal activities in a safe manner and attributed the recent attack to the lack of security personnel stationed on campus.

He urged the relevant authorities to remedy the situation by deploying security personnel to the school to prevent similar events in the future.
