Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has paid tribute to the late former Station Manager of Radio Univers, Dr. Alhaji Abubakari Sidick Ahmed, describing him as a man who lived a good life, fulfilled life’s true purpose and lived in harmony with others.
Making these remarks during a courtesy visit by the family of the late Dr. Sidick Ahmed, the former President fondly recalled the late Alhaji’s charming smile, which he said radiated humanity in its purest form.
“If you live a good life and you pass on, people gather—as we are doing now—to remember you and pray for you simply because you lived well with others, which in a way, you have succeeded and fulfilled the purpose of life. That is how I see Sidick, with his charming smile and the humanity he radiated,” he said.
The late Dr. Alhaji Abubakari Sidick Ahmed passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026. He served as Station Manager of Radio Univers for three decades, during which he impacted countless lives by mentoring aspiring journalists and engaging with many through his personal interactions.
