Radio Univers 105.7FM, the premier campus radio station of the University of Ghana, is set to host Nova Legon 2026, its flagship welcome event for freshmen, on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Held under the theme “Igniting New Stars, Inspiring Futures,” Nova Legon 2026 is designed to officially usher new students into university life through a blend of mentorship, inspiration, and entertainment — reflecting both the academic and social spirit of campus.
The main session, scheduled from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cedi Conference Centre, will feature a powerful mentorship conversation with Sir Sam Jonah, Executive Chairman of Jonah Capital Equity Fund, who will serve as Guest of Honour. He will be joined by Bernard Avle, award-winning journalist, broadcaster, and proud Radio Univers alumnus, appearing as Special Guest. Together, they will engage students in candid discussions on leadership, purpose, resilience, and life beyond the classroom.

Following the main session, the celebration continues with the Nova Legon Poolside Jam from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the University of Ghana Poolside. The after-party promises a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere, featuring live DJ performances, student engagement activities, and exciting brand activations — giving freshmen the perfect opportunity to connect, unwind, and celebrate their new journey.
Nova Legon 2026 marks the debut of what Radio Univers envisions as an annual welcome experience on the University of Ghana campus. Rooted in the spirit of fresh beginnings, the event brings together incoming students and accomplished alumni and professionals who once walked the same paths, creating meaningful moments of connection, mentorship, and inspiration.
Beyond a single day, Nova Legon reflects Radio Univers’ commitment to building community, nurturing talent, and supporting the holistic development of students.
