Minister of Communications launches 75th Annual New Year School, Conference

The Minister of Communications and Digitization, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has launched the 75Th Annual New Year School and Conference.

The event was themed ‘Nurturing Resilience: Adopting Technology and Embracing Humanism for Sustainable Development’; it was held at the School of Continuing and Distance Education on the 14th of November, 2023.

In commemorating the media launch of the 75th Annual New Year School and Conference, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful expressed delight in partnering in this edition of the 75th annual New Year School and Conference.

“By embracing people centered technology, Ghana will continue to strengthen its educational systems, healthcare services, businesses and promote our own culture while empowering citizens to face the future with confidence and the requisite skills. I am therefore delighted as the Minister of Communications to partner with you for the celebration of this year’s New Year School and Conference. It is my pleasure to declare this 75th Annual New Year School and Conference duly launched.”

She also announced the commencement of the building of the Digital Youth Village in the University of Ghana which would give students a practical feel of smart systems and cutting edge technologies.

“The Digital Youth Village for the New Year’s School is a project I am very excited about. The project would enable our students have practical, hands on learning about smart environments and smart offices alongside other cutting edge technologies. Despite the challenges that have delayed fruition of the project, I can confidently say that the Digital Youth Village for the New Year School and Conference of the University of Ghana will become a reality.”
