Ghanaian rap music sensation, AMG Medikal has thrown his weight behind Samuel Ackom and Ramzy Ahmed ahead of the University of Ghana Students Representative Council’s (UGSRC) runoff elections scheduled to take place today.

In a video sighted by Univers News, the Stubborn Academy hitmaker, Medikal was seen calling Ramzy Ahmed; running mate for Samuel Ackom as president and urged students to vote for him.

Sources say Medikal and Shatta Wale will perform at Student Representative Council (SRC) Week Celebrations if Samuel Ackom and Ramzy Ahmed win today’s runoff.

In last year’s UGSRC elections, award winning gospel artiste, Diana Antwi Hamilton endorsed General Secretary candidate, Rebecca Mwinviel Derry. The singer was sighted in a video with Rebecca Derry, soliciting for votes for the candidate.
However, Rebecca Derry lost the race to Stephanie Naadu Antwi.

Students of the University of Ghana are set to go to the polls again today, November 8,2022 after the general elections headed for a run off.

A statement released by the electoral Commission said the second phase of the elections will take place this Tuesday from 8 am to 5pm after the University of Ghana Computing System sends codes to students.

After the general elections held on November 1, 2022, none of the presidential candidates and the General Secretary candidates obtained 50+1 as stipulated by the UGSRC constitution to be declared president or General Secretary elect.
