The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Amenfi West in the Western region, Hon. Lord Nana Tandoh has appealed to the CEO of the Ghana COCOBOD for immediate completion of cocoa roads in the area.
Addressing the media, he applauded the CEO for his tremendous support but seized the opportunity to call on him to fast track the completion of roads awarded to contractors to enable transaction of businesses.
“I will applaud the Cocobod CEO for his tremendous support. I’m hoping to use the opportunity of calling him to assist in finishing the Cocoa roads in the Municipality. Since the cocoa season is opened, we hope the contractors will be paid soon for them to complete the roads for us.”
Hon. Tandoh went on to assure commuters of speedy construction of roads to ease their burdens.
“We have done a lot of reshaping and obviously some roads have been completed but since we are in the rainy season, I will plead with the commuters to have patience for us since we shall complete the roads as soon as the rainy season is over.”
On the other hand, he emphasised that health, water and security issues are under control in the Municipality, urging the public to remain calm and steadfast in support of the government.
‘‘The Municipality has experienced a significant reduction in crime due to the high police visibility. We are fortunate to have several of the police officers posted here. I will applaud the officers on the Asankrangua to Bekwai road, the community police officers on the road are doing marvellous jobs, we as private persons even need security, so we need to help them so that can work for us, in fact they are doing marvellous jobs.
“We have also been able to facilitate health and water expansion projects in the Municipality to help our peoples. I will plead with all and sundry to remain calm since we are in the process of helping solve individuals problems.”
