The Member of Parliament for the Madina Constituency, Dr. Francis-Xavier Sosu, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late former Station Manager of Radio Univers, Dr. Abubakari Sidick Ahmed (Alhaji), expressing deep gratitude for the numerous media opportunities the late broadcaster offered him.

Speaking at the 40 Days Duaa held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the late Dr. Sidick Ahmed’s residence, Dr. Sosu reflected on his personal encounters with the renowned media practitioner and the impact of his passing.

“He never discriminated. I recall the many times he personally interviewed me on Radio Univers. I can’t even count how often I appeared on his programme. Even when, at times, I felt he was engaging in agenda-setting due to politics, he always maintained neutrality on issues,” he said.

He also called on residents of the Madina Constituency to honour the legacy of Dr. Sidick Ahmed by embracing unity and rising above partisan divisions.

“We are one people. Let us not divide ourselves along political lines. Let us draw inspiration from him so that our lives will be defined by service rather than needless partisanship,” he urged.

Dr. Sosu further encouraged individuals to seek Allah’s guidance in living righteous lives, reminding all of the inevitability of death and the importance of forgiveness.

“As humans, we are bound to offend one another, but we must learn to forgive. Today, I pray that Madina will come together. Death does not recognise NPP or NDC; it does not know partisan politics. When your time comes, you will go,” he added.
