Dreams Fc’s manager, Abdul Karim Zito, has vehemently claimed he is unperturbed about missing out on the Caf Confederation Cup final, despite being 90 minutes away and suffering a 3-0 semi-final loss.

The ‘Still-believe’ lads played as host to Zamalek in front of an expectant and buoyant Baba Yara crowd on Sunday, hoping to pick apart an experienced Zamalek team.

However, Dreams failed to show the defensive adpetness they portrayed in the first leg, which saw them walk out of Cairo unscathed in a goalless affair, as their backline was breached in the 12th minute by Hamza Mathlouthi.

Zamalek then decided to turn on the afterburners from there, as the one-sided first half saw the 2019 Confederation Cup winners add to their tally through Samson Akinyoola before the break.

The result was put beyond doubt when Mostafa Shalaby scored just before the hour mark, topping it off with a cheeky celebration of taking his shirt off to flaunt his muscles.

The result brought an end to an amazing campaign for Dreams Fc in their debut Caf Confederation Cup season, one which got head coach Abdul Karim Zito elated.

We should have won the game in the first half, to he honest with you. We had about 4 chances to 2, and then because we couldn’t stay focused, we couldn’t get the opportunity. I think if it were to be 2-1 or 2-2, we will have been better this half [second] than what has happen. So I take it be an experience, and we’ve also experienced it because we’ve met a very experienced team in all standard, and that’s why I said I’m not disappointed at all. But I would have wished us to qualify to the final, he said

The Dewu-based club still have the opportunity of reaching the continental stage once more as they defend their Fa Cup crown against Soccer Intellectuals in the quarter-final, with a place in the semi’s up for grabs.

But in the meantime, the attention of Dreams Fc will shift to preserving their Ghana Premier League status, as the team is lingering in and around the drop zone.
