Hearts of Oak manager Aboubakar Ouattara says that he is not under pressure to deliver, despite the team’s recent underwhelming  performances in the Ghana Premier League.

According to him, there’s rather a lot of pressure on the entire team, not him alone – as they hope to avoid being relegated from the Ghana Premier League after losing 2-0 to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday

Personally, I am not under pressure. I am not under pressure but the team is under pressure, Aboubakar said.

We are under pressure because we need more points to survive. We need the points in the remaining games. We don’t have any choices

To get the points, we must score. He added

The match at the Baba Yara Stadium saw Kotoko’s Steven Mukwala score twice, resulting in a second consecutive victory over the Phobians in the ongoing season.

Kotoko’s home win propels them into the top half of the table, moving into 9th place and further away from the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Accra Hearts of Oak find themselves in a precarious position, sitting 14th on the table, just two points above the drop zone.

Next, Hearts of Oak will host Nations FC and Great Olympics before a trip to Bechem United on the final day of the season.

Ouattara stressed the importance of these upcoming games.

In the three remaining games, we need the points. We don’t have any choice. To get the points, we must score, and to score, we need to play simple football, he added.
