They doing awesome in both for coaching and referee training,” she added.
What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is an outdoor or indoor paddle sport event which emerged from the United States of America in 1965 in the State of Washington in an island called Bainbridge. Joan Pritchard, Bill Bell and Barney Bell are the people mostly credited as the progenitors of the sport, with the concept designed to be a game played between young kids in a background.
Pickleball is a sport in the similitude of tennis, combining features of tennis, badminton and ping pong where a plastic ball with holes is used to play. The sport has soared in contemporary times and was named as the official sport in Washington DC in 2022 after State Senator John Lovick’s proposed bid to make pickleball the official state sport was earlier declined in 2021.
The sport is governed by the International Pickleball Federation (IPF) and has its headquarters in Maryland in the United States of America. Pickleball was initially demonstrated at an International Olympic Committee event for the first time in March 2022 at the Maccabiah games.
Pickleball happens to be the fastest growing sport in America, with the IPF haven launched an initiative earlier in the year to reach out and extend their scope across the globe.
