The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has teamed up with university of Ghana’s campus based radio station, Radio Univers (105.7FM), in promoting the highly anticipated Women’s Football Festival at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday, June 8 ,2024.
The Women’s Football Festival will commence with the Women’s FA Cup Final between Army Ladies and Police Ladies at exactly 4:00 pm, followed by the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League final between Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies at 7:00 pm.
The station, which serves as an advocate for women and gender inclusivity, has agreed to use its local and English sports shows and other programmes to promote the two women’s football cup final matches both on air and online.
Both matches are free and open to the students and the general public.
Radio univers recently launched its 30th anniversary with a rebranding campaign to reposition the University of Ghana campus-based station into a youth-focused, urban lifestyle, music driven and socially responsible institutional radio platform.
