The Ghana Football Association has charged Asante Kotoko SC following their Matchday 11 Ghana Premier League encounter with FC Samartex 1996.
The match generated tension after a late penalty was awarded to Samartex, a decision Kotoko strongly contested.
Goalkeeper Mohammed Camara saved the spot-kick to preserve Kotoko’s unbeaten run, but the club later issued a statement criticising the call, insisting the infringement occurred outside the penalty area.
According to the GFA, Kotoko violated Section 34(6)(d) of the 2025 Premier League Regulations by publishing comments considered inciteful and capable of provoking violence against the match referee.
The Association stated that the comments amount to misconduct and bring the game into disrepute.
Asante Kotoko have until Wednesday, November 26, 2025, to respond to the charge.
