The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved 14 venues to host matches in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season following inspections and clearance by the GFA Club Licensing Department.
The approved venues were confirmed on Monday, August 17, 2026, as preparations intensify for the start of the new league campaign. Inspections of Premier League centres and training facilities began months ago as part of the club licensing process for the 2026/27 season.
The venues approved for the upcoming season are Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Accra Sports Stadium, University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Dun’s Park(Bibiani), Nsenkyire Sports Arena(Samreboi), TNA Sports Stadium (Tarkwa), Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park(Bechem),AAK II Sports Arena(Basake), Tuba Astro Turf, Golden City Park(Berekum),Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Nana Boamah Darko II Park(Kukurantumi), and Len Clay Sports Stadium(Obusasi).

The University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Accra Sports Stadium and Baba Yara Sports Stadium still remain among the major venues on the list, while several regional grounds will also host Premier League football across the country.

Ghana’s Top flight League is scheduled to start between September 4 and 7, 2026, with the 30-week campaign expected to conclude between May 28 and 31, 2027. The GFA says the majority of fixtures will be played at weekends, while midweek dates will be reserved for outstanding matches.
Approval of these venues is another significant step towards the new Premier League campaign, although clubs must still complete the wider club licensing process before August 24, 2026 which the GFA set as the deadline for Premier League and Division One clubs to submit their licensing applications.
